The mills diverse community of tenants features a number of education-oriented organizations, including:
- The Cocheco Arts and Technology Academy, an accredited charter high school for the arts
- Exchange City, a comprehensive entrpreneurial learning program that teaches middle school students about business and town government
There are many additional private and group lesson opportunities in both music and art. Large, well-lit spaces make for nice classrooms, while the mills' thriving arts community nurtures the creative spirits of the students. It's not uncommon for students to meet the artists and witness the process behind bringing a piece of art to life. Trips to the gallery are a regular offering, and the Picker Building function room has been used for student musical and theatrical productions.
